Pine Hill Bluegrass
The Pine Hill Bluegrass band was formed in 1981. The original members of the band were Daniel Hyman, Rocky Springs, Bobby Welch and Francis Parnell. Daniel sang lead and played rhythm guitar. Rocky Springs sang lead and harmony and played bass. Bobby Welch sang lead and harmony and played banjo. Francis Parnell sang harmony and played mandolin.
In 1990, Rocky, switched to dobro and Cliff Brandon joined the band to sing tenor and play bass. Ronald Singleton on banjo, joined the group in 1995. In early fall of 1996 Rob Jordan joined the band as lead & harmony singer. Then in the winter of 1997, Marty Driggers was added as the bass player and harmony singer. Cliff Brandon then switched to rhythm guitar.
This exciting bluegrass band has been playing gigs for many years. throughout the Pee Dee area. Their comedy, humor and songs keep the audience entertained as demonstrated by the demand for encores.
